Texas Sharks Soccer

Wow.  I didn't realize I never posted this one in May after Dylan's 1st soccer season ended.  It's been sitting in the Draft folder for months during this crazy busy summer.  I have some major catching up to do.  

Autrey and Matt coached Dylan, Tommy, and Will Shurtz's team.  It was Dylan's 1st team sport experience. It was a good game for Dylan if he was paying attention, knew where the ball was, and kicked it a few times.  He actually scored a goal during one game.  And I think it was on purpose.

He wanted "shark fin" hair since they were the Texas Sharks:

Colton wore that soccer shirt to every game with his shin guards.  I think he wanted to play more than Dylan did.  Cried so hard when he realized he didn't have a team too:

Mimi and Papa came to nearly all of the 8 Saturday games, even a few that ended up being rained out.  It rained A LOT during the season:

This is the most action he had with the ball all season.  Too bad it was after the whistle blew and Dylan didn't know to stop.  Oh, well.  I'm just happy he was dribbling the ball:

The team got to play a night game at AT&T Stadium (new Cowboys stadium).  It was pretty cool for them:

I think we'll try t-ball next year.  And Colton gets to play this time.  I'm not making that mistake twice!

Colton's Paw Patrol Party

Colton turned 3!  He is really into Paw Patrol and had a blast at his party.  Just like Dylan's Spiderman party, we had to turn an outdoor party into an indoor party due to a bad thunderstorm.  It was loud and crazy with 12 kids and their parents, but really fun.

 I forgot to get pictures of the kids building dog houses for stuffed animal dogs using foam blocks, and using "poop scoopers" (grabbers) to pick up tootsie roll "poop" off of the putting green grass into "poop bags". I live in a house with all boys.  I embraced the potty humor they love so much for that activity.  Here are the kids eating Cocoa Puff "dog food" out of dog bowls.  It took a day or two before I stopped finding cereal in random places due to a few spills:

Happy 3rd birthday to my energetic, bright-eyed, expressive, cuddly, puppy-loving, cap gun shooting, avid sports fan, little super hero Colton!  Love my little sidekick!

The next day was Mother's Day.  It started off rough with the dreaded discovery our 4th round of fertility drugs failed.  I hate feeling this crappy and emotional without anything to show for it...and no end in sight.  Bah.  But then the day got better when Dylan came running into my room saying, "Mom, mom!!!  I made you this at school to wear to church!!!"  I rocked the noodle necklace, thankyouverymuch.  Next year I want the noodle earrings to match.
