Explaining Robbie's name

Names are a big deal to me and I'm going to explain Robbie's full name since I've been getting questions about it. His name will be...Robert Kesko Duke.

*Robert is after my grandpa, Robert Holdaway. I've always felt a special bond with grandpa and grandma Cumorah Holdaway.

*Kesko is the name that raises eyebrows. It's a nod to my Danish heritage and a significant name in my family. Robbie's great great great grandpa is Andrew Peter Olsen (also known as Peter Kesko), who came to the US from Denmark in the 1860s and was one of the early pioneers to settle Ephraim, UT. He was a great man who used almost his entire fortune to help others. He had his wife burn the IOUs before he died so none of his kids could be tempted to call in the outstanding debts. Also, my dad's nickname growing up was Kesko, given to him by his Uncle Morgan. It is the name engraved on his scriptures and was even on the back of his sports jerseys. As a side note, my parents were going to name their first boy Kesko David...but ended up with 4 girls. Kesko has been a nickname to a few family members, but Robbie will be the 1st to have the name on his official birth certificate. So this officially makes me Dad's #1 daughter.

*Duke is obviously carrying on Autrey's family name. I love my in-laws and am thrilled Robbie will have so many good Duke family men to emulate.

CAN'T WAIT TO MEET HIM TOMORROW!!!
