Summer Travels

The day after school got out, we hopped on a plane and flew to Houston to meet up with the Duke fam. On Friday, everyone helped Mona with her first day of summer camp. Well, everyone except me. Taking care of Dylan is a full-time job by itself, but mostly I wasn't any help because I was so run down I lost my milk completely and it caused an unpleasant chain reaction that morning. Yeah, the first day I STOP working. Ironic, dontcha think? Thank heavens for Allyson telling me about Fenugreek seed capsules. They are helping a lot (*cough* at triple the recommended dosage *cough*). I will be mooing again in no time. Anyway, the next day we all got up at the crack of dawn to fly to San Diego for Memorial Day weekend.

Entertaining the little ones in the airport:

Conked out after the flight:
We stayed at Hotel del Coronado, which is behind us. It is an amazing hotel, even if legend says it is haunted. If you ever go and they don't have bacon as part of the complimentary breakfast, it's because Autrey cleaned them out...or it could have been the ghost:
First time at the beach (Who goes to the beach before a pool? What a life.):

Not a fan of the cold water...
...but he loved the 'beach bumbo' Autrey dug in the sand for him:

At the park:First slide ride:First time swinging:Back in Houston, the camp continued this week until about 5 minutes ago when the last kid left the Duke household. It was basically a kid paradise with a bounce house,a water slide,

a sprinkler, and a pool, which Dylan could play in after most of the kids were out.

Yesterday was our 5th wedding anniversary. We left Dylan with Mimi and Papa and celebrated at Saltgrass Steakhouse. You can't beat coconut shrimp and steak! I love Autrey more than ever and love our smiley little man. Well, the traveling continues tomorrow. We are off to Dallas in the morning to find a place to live. Wish us luck!

  2. Dylan is looking more and more like Autrey!!! How fun! You did some really fun activities and Mona's house really does look like a kid paradise... even a big kid paradise for those of us who would want to get on the fun equipment! :)
