PA Swan Song

On Colton's 1st birthday, May 14, the boys and I flew to PA so we could meet up with the family in Mechanicsburg for one (more) last hurrah at our beloved 309 Reservoir Road before the keys got turned over to the new owners.  We are a very sentimental family and it was hard for us to part with the house, our friends, and our PA roots after 27 years.  Are we super excited for mom and dad to be back to Utah?  Of course.  It's just going to take a while for me to get used to them being 'homeless' until their house is built.  Apparently dad is loving the freedom from household worries, and I am really glad they are out there with grandma and grandpa Holdaway right now, as grandpa is back in the hospital.

**FYI - I don't have all the pictures from this trip yet, but I have more than enough to do a post and will add the rest later.  I'm 2 months behind in my blogging and if I wait any longer it's going to get out of control to catch up.

Jessica Smith met us at Messiah College to take some family pictures:

One of the many jumping outtakes.  Meagan's sandal flew off, Kristen thought it was hilarious, I wondered what was going on over there, and Desiree' continued to be fabulous despite distraction:

Found ya:
Our next door neighbor, Tiffany (aka the 5th Miller girl), came over.

She's having a hard time with the move too since she became part of our family right after we moved in.  She's been coping by posting embarrassing old pictures of us on Facebook, like this early morning gem from Girls Camp.  Laughing at yourself is a form of bravery, right?:
Then Kristin 'Truey' Runyon came over with Tabitha (and baby Caroline has since been born the beginning of July):
Video of Tabitha and Dylan playing.  They were so cute and had so much fun together:

On the 'factory tour' ride again and again:

Sweet twins:
Oh la la:
(Autrey hadn't flown in yet when we went to Hershey):

I don't know why Colton freaked out.  Maybe it's because he had never tasted chocolate before:

Field trip to Lake Tobias wildlife park:

That is hair off the buffalo:

Hey, Meagan, what's coming out of your head?  Haha:

Autrey tried to get it to bite Ken's bum, but it never got close enough.  Would have been funny though:

Rollin' out:

But not before Colton peed through his pants onto Ken:

Eating time:

Dylan in heaven playing 'dig the weeds' with G-pa.  Dad was always good at turning chores into games we wanted to play:

Tiffany and Laura Stetler came by for brunch before we headed back for the airport:

Farewell, 309:
Like handprints on our hearts:
So many good memories with many more to be made.  I love you, family!  Can't wait to get together again in Utah!
