Robbie's 9 Month Pics (from October 2017)

9 Months! More out than in. Doesn't seem possible. He's 16 lb 13.5 oz and 28 in long. For my PT friends: He can get 109* flexion on his left leg and 120* on his right one. His arm can get 30* flexion.

The spinal MRI results came back that he does NOT have a tethered spinal cord, just some incidental findings related to his borderline Chiari malformation. He is starting to bear more of his weight in a standing position and sit for longer periods of time on his own. During his adaptive swim sessions with the kinesiology students at TWU he stares at the lifeguard until she notices and smiles back at him, at which point he starts kicking and squealing with excitement. I now call him Squints. 😂⚾

Disclaimer: He toppled over 2 seconds after the first pic and knocked his head on the floor, cried, and now he's asleep. 😥 Very much still a work in progress!

Look at that sitting with the weight of the leg braces helping to hold him up!

For Meagan and Ken, who love Batman like this family loves baseball. This was Gideon's onesie:
