Autrey: “Let’s go to Six Flags.”
Me: “Today? It’s raining...hard! All the rides will be shut down.”
Autrey: “Yeah, but we get free food with our meal pass and I want Johnny Rockets and funnel cake.”
Me: “Seriously?”
Autrey: “I deserve it after climbing up the stinkin’ ladder and painting the top of the stairway this morning.”
That, my friends, is how my husband’s brain works. And we’re actually going because he DOES deserve it. 💦
Autrey’s crazy food field trip ended up being a great day to go. At first just the kiddie rides were open so we rode Batwing.
But then the big rides opened up and, since there were practically no lines, Dylan and I rode Batman twice and then ran to Mr. Freeze, Superman, Runaway Mt, Riddler’s Revenge, and Texas Giant.
Things kept getting shut down and opening and shutting again due to weather or technical difficulties. We even got stuck on the incline up Texas Giant and had to get out of the car and climb down the stairs, but we jumped right back on it!
We joined the rest of the family for Sidewinder and Yosemite Sam. We were in line for the Sky Screamer for one more ride before closing when the sky opened up and we had to run in the downpour to the car. Robbie loved his wild stroller water ride! 💦
