Robbie's 3rd Surgery (Bilateral Knee Reduction) and G-ma's Visit to Help

1/3 FB Post a few weeks before surgery: SR hospital called today and informed us that a cardiologist needs to look at Robbie's heart anomalies prior to his surgery in a few weeks. This is because the little holes haven't been checked out since the NICU and the open reduction surgery (and possible osteotomy) on both knees is more intense and requires a longer time under anesthesia than his previous surgeries. We need to be sure his little heart can handle it. The doctor anticipates the surgery will proceed as planned but wants to err on the side of caution, especially given my history of a blood clotting disorder. We invite you to join our family this Sunday in fasting and praying for Robbie and his medical team. ❤️

So grateful Sherrie-Kaye Holdaway Miller came to help us during the past two weeks of Robbie’s double knee surgery and recovery. Moms make really hard things a little bit easier.
Plus it was fun to have mom here to see his 1st 2 teeth come in, learn to wave on video, and go from a laying position to sitting up in his crib all by himself for the first time ever! HUGE milestones! Miss her already! ❤️❤️❤️

Dr. Amy McIntosh performed Robbie's 3rd surgery at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children
The giggle juice they gave him before taking him back for surgery made him giggly and loopy:

I took two adorably cute videoes of Robbie playing and jabbering but blogger said they were too big. Sad.
